Pupil Premium and Sport Premium
Introduced in 2011, Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England. Pupil Premium funding can be used by schools to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to diminish the difference between them and their classmates.
All young people should have the opportunity to live healthy and active lives. Following the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the government provides sport premium funding to improve the provision of P.E. and sport in primary schools.
